How important is the Conclusion in an Essay?
The final touches to an essay are as important as the initial when you begin to write an essay. A conclusion is a vital part for writing an essay. A strong and convincing conclusion will leave your reader highly impressed. It is the last chance for you to convince your reader about your views that you discussed in the main body of an essay. Just follow the tips below to write a strong conclusion.
Do not Summarize
When concluding an essay, avoid summarizing the whole essence of the essay in detail. Though, you can briefly discuss the main points.
Be Relevant
Try to be precise and relevant about the argument already made. Avoid discussing anything that is not associated with the main topic. You can provide a useful suggestion to resolve a critical problem or a general comment. This should be done in mere two to three sentences at the most to avoid making your conclusion lengthy and irrelevant.
Restate the Thesis
This should be done in the first or second sentence of the conclusion. Reinstating the conclusion reminds the reader about the main focus of an essay.
Avoid a Long Conclusion
A conclusion should be precise and to the point. A paragraph for concluding an essay should be enough. It should not consist of more than four to five sentences.
